this finely bound set. Lacking Volume 5. Present are: The Professor,
Wuthering Heights, Shirley, Villete, and Jane Eyre. Finely bound in
contemporary three-quarter tan calf, the spines elaborately gilt within bands
with double lettering pieces, top edges gilt others uncut. The binding by
Bayntun, Bath. Handsome bindings in truly excellent condition.

Containing the first appearance of Conan Doyle’s "The Adventures of

Baskervilles" amongst, of course, much else. Profusely
illustrated. Thirty volumes attractively bound contemporary half tan calf,
marbled boards, the spines decorated in gilt within raised bands, with crimson
lettering pieces and green numbering pieces. Some minor rubbing, numbering
piece of Volumes 20 and 22 chipped. Generally a handsomely bound run in very
good condition.
