Apart from the poor state of the binding this is actually a very nice copy internally.

First edition.  Frontispiece and 26 photographic illustrations on 24 plates.  Large 8vo, pp.xvi:334:(1, advertisement), original pictorial green cloth blocked in colours.  Some rubbing to upper cover and extremities, tiny puncture to upper joint, 1-inch closeable tear into headband without loss, and could therefore be restored, some foxing as usual.  Apart from the headband tear generally a good copy.  Rare.
